There may seem a lot, but we could have taken 10 times as many*, had 'logistics' permitted. But, even though we only walked relatively slowly (or pole pole, as the Swahili has it), we tended to walk 'consistently', and taking a lot of photos as we went along just wasn't realistic, as stopping & starting would have been very disruptive - hence quite a lot of pictures of either lunch stops, or camp sites.
* we did actually take twice as many as are online, but I've removed duplicates and ones that didn't "work".

I've been following your efforts for sometime now and wanted to say thank you for sharing your adventure. I'm working on finishing a PhD in Edinburgh and climbing the 'hill' later this year.
Hi sciencemel, it's great to know that we're not just talking to ourselves here on this blog, and I have often wished that others would post comments too, so thanks very much for posting! Let us know if you need any further tips or anything before you tackle Kili - I'm sure we're all very happy to babble on about it! Hopefully we'll have more posts and photos up, so keep watching...
